Domains

A domain is the name by which your website is known, and can be found on the internet. A domain name can not be owned indefinetly so therefore needs to be registered regularly to your business. It is made up of two segments, the hostname and the label. Usually the hostname is the name of your company, or a variation on it ie. Roarcreative whereas the label is the .co.uk part of the domain name, this part of the domain name can dictate location globally or government status. (Here in the UK all government departments will have the label .gov.uk). Your domain name is therefore vitally important to whether your customers can find you. When deciding on a domain name it is vitally essential to consider your marketing strategy, if you are doing a radio commercial would you want a hyphen in your domain name, and if so how would you communicate it?

• .com = £20.00 per annum
• .org.uk = £20.00 per annum
• .eu = £25.00 per annum
• .biz = £35.00 per annum
• .tel = £35.00 per annum

Obviously each domain can only be registered once, so they are subject to availability.
